What this tool does:
  • You define each crew / vehicle type and how far they drive in a day (round trip).
  • You enter the vehicle efficiency (km per litre or miles per gallon).
  • The system calculates how many litres/gallons are needed per day and per week, and how much that fuel should cost, given the fuel price.
Formula (behind the scenes):
  • Fuel per vehicle per day = Daily distance ÷ Efficiency
  • Fuel per crew per day = Fuel per vehicle × Number of vehicles
  • Cost per day = Fuel per crew per day × Fuel price
  • Week totals assume 5 working days.
If your crews use different types of vehicles (e.g. vans and trucks), you can add separate rows with different efficiencies for the same crew name.
